Career to date:

I started my working life doing a morning daily paper-round at the age of 13, and then my career in Sales began working part time in C&A as a Saturday boy whilst also working for Zenith Windows selling the “opportunity” to get free double glazing over the phone. This gave me the appetite for Sales and I then ventured into Estate Agency for several years and after working for a National and Independent Firm in Bedford I then stumbled into Recruitment and 10 years later the rest is history having set up Advancing People in 2009 and Advancing Property in 2011…

What do you enjoy about recruitment?

No day is the same, helping businesses and people achieve their goals and really making a difference.

What makes Advancing People special?

The people in the team and how we work together, the level of service we consistently deliver to candidates and clients whilst delivering true value for money - plus we have table football and a fish tank in the office!

Career to date:

After leaving sixth form I went to work in New York caring for adults with severe learning difficulties. When I returned to the UK I then started my career with Advancing People as a Recruitment Consultant. I always knew that I wanted a career within sales and I approached Advancing People as a potential candidate. They took the time to listen to what I wanted and saw something in me that they liked. I was then offered a Job as Trainee Recruitment Consultant and since then have only moved forward, in the right direction!

What do you enjoy about recruitment?

I enjoy both sides of Recruitment, dealing with Clients as well as Candidates. I am a strong believer that the best way to learn is through others, which is why I enjoy the daily interaction that I have with all different kinds of individuals.
